Our newest program
STR8 UP is proud to present Building Knowledge & Resiliency: a Family Literacy Program. This program is offered to our members as well as the broader community. Funded by the Government of Saskatchewan, we have partnered with Frontier College to provide volunteer support staff, literature, and t0 assist parents and their children in a Homework Club and Reading Circle.

There will be a child minder as well as support staff and volunteers from both STR8 UP and Frontier College present at every session.
The program block will consist of three elements:
- A meal prepared by participants starting at 4:30pm.
- A facilitator who will speak to parents about the theme of the day while children are engaged in creating arts & crafts and writing.
- Homework Club and Reading Circle facilitated by staff and volunteers of Frontier College.
All participants will be provided with multiuse bus tickets for travel to and from the program.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate and will have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience.
Presenters are not final and may require substitution due to scheduling conflicts or unforseen circumstances.
